Gari Sieve Project
PROJECT
My team and I built a gari sieving machine for Praise Exports, a food processing company to increase the speed at which gari is sieved in the company. Gari is a ghanaian staple food made out of crashed and dried cassava. Our proposed solution is as follows.

Electrical Design
The circuitry employed in this device was designed based on IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) standards. Little to nothing changed even though the mechanical design evolved. The mode of vibration changed from being the Whitworth Quick Return Mechanism to being a vibrator, but the electrical connections of the two motors are the same so there were no changes made to the circuits.
